Joint Injections
The first step in management on any joint pain is conservative strategy including Physical Therapy and medications. Many time weight loss is the long term treatment for joint issues. If joint pain doesn't get better with conservative managements, sometime there is a role for joint injections to relieve the pain and decrease the inflammation. We do offer injections in our office. We are committed in providing extra ordinary service to patients in the Northern Virginia area with our physicians and nurse practitioners. We are dedicated in taking care of complex patients.
Dr Parham Haghighi is board certified in Internal Medicine Since 2002.
Dr Haghighi Is also a diplomate of American Board of Obesity Medicine.
He has been taking care of some of the most complicated patients in the Northern Virginia area.
Dr Haghighi founded and directed the largest private hospitalist group in the Northern Virginia area for over 10 years. In 2022, the hospitalist wing of Fairfax Internal Medicine Associates joined Inova Fairfax Hospitalist group. Even though he still is associated with the hospitalist team and makes rounds on some days at Inova Fairfax Hospital, he is dedicating his time and efforts to our office and outpatient practice.
He has taken care of patients in Inova Fairfax, Fair Oaks and Alexandria Hospitals as well as many other hospitals in Washington DC and Virginia.
Dr Haghighi is one of the most experienced Hospital Medicine physicians in Virginia. He has been the highest volume admitted to Inova Fairfax Hospital from 2012-2022 with over 115,000 patient visits at the hospital.
Dr Haghighi has the experience of Medical directorship of Hadley Hospital (One of the fist hospitals in Washington DC now a Long term acute care facility). He has been a teaching attending for Internal medicine Residents at Inova Fairfax Hospital for many years. He also has experience directorship and the Medical Director of Iliff Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Fairfax Nursing Center; as well as Medical Director of Gentiva Hospice in the Northern Virginia area. He also served on Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Medical Quality Committee and the Department of Medicine Peer Review Committee
